TMS9900 (1976)
Texas Instruments introduced the TMS9900 in June 1976 as one of the first single-chip 16-bit microprocessors. It powered the TI-99/4 and TI-99/4A.
Introduced June 1976. The TI-99/4 and TI-99/4A computers, which sold about 2.8 million units, were its main consumer use.
