Coleco Telstar (1976)
Coleco's hugely popular first Pong-type dedicated console, built on General Instrument's AY-3-8500 chip.
It had single control knobs and three built-in games. Coleco produced about 14 Telstar models, and the over-extended Pong lineup, together with a chip shortage that Coleco avoided, led to near-bankruptcy in 1980 and a shift to ColecoVision.
