Adaptec AHA-1542 (1989)
The workhorse ISA SCSI host adapter for PCs.
The 154x family connected hard drives, CD-ROMs and scanners over SCSI and was well supported by DOS drivers. SCSI offered faster, chainable devices than early IDE. It was popular in workstations and creative PCs.
