Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) (1996)
Intel released version 1.0 of the AGP specification on July 31, 1996, a dedicated bus for graphics cards. The first AGP chipset, the 440LX, followed in August 1997.
A dedicated slot for graphics cards. AGP 2.0 followed on May 4, 1998 with 4x speed.
