AberMUD (1987)
Alan Cox's MUD from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, a parent of the TinyMUD, LPMud and Diku families.
Written in 1987 at Aberystwyth by Alan Cox, Richard Acott, Jim Finnis and Leon Thrane. Alan Cox ported it to C in 1988, and the C version spread widely in 1989. TinyMUD, LPMud and DikuMUD were all inspired by it.
