Speak & Spell (1978)
Texas Instruments introduced the Speak & Spell at the summer 1978 Consumer Electronics Show. It used the first single-chip speech synthesizer, an IEEE Milestone.
Introduced in summer 1978. Used the TMC0280, later the TMS5100 linear predictive coding chip.
