Apple Disk II (1978)
Wozniak's cheap floppy drive that made the Apple II a serious software platform.
Designed by Steve Wozniak, the Disk II used a controller card in an Apple II slot (slot 6 by convention) and stored 113.75 KiB per side under early DOS, 140 KiB with DOS 3.3 and ProDOS. It was far cheaper than competing floppy systems, so software moved from cassette to disk quickly.
