Space Race (Atari) (1973)
Atari's second arcade game, released July 16, 1973. It is credited as the first racing video game with a goal of crossing the screen while avoiding obstacles.
Two players race rockets up the screen. It sold around 1,500 units and led to a contract dispute with Midway over a near-identical game.
