IBM Microdrive (1999)
A tiny hard drive in a CF slot.
IBM announced the Microdrive in September 1998 and shipped it in June 1999 in 170 MB and 340 MB capacities. It put a tiny hard disk into a CompactFlash Type II form factor for digital cameras and handhelds.
