IBM Game Control Adapter (1981)
The optional card that gave the original IBM PC a joystick port.
Provided four analog axes and four buttons, enough for two joysticks or four paddles through a Y-splitter. Later sound cards (starting with the Sound Blaster) folded the same port onto their brackets, which is why game ports survived until USB.
