HP ScanJet (1987)
HP's first flatbed scanner and the model that defined the desktop scanner.
It scanned a letter-size page at 300 dpi in 16 grays and needed a proprietary ISA interface card, a nearly $500 extra. Mac support came in June 1988 with driver software and an application suite.
