Gamate (1990)
A Taiwanese 6502-based handheld, among the first Game Boy competitors, sold under many regional brands.
Bit Corp's Gamate used a 160x152 four-grey LCD and 19x2 pin cards. It was known as Super Boy in Taiwan and Super Child Prodigy in China. Build quality was good but the screen ghosted badly. Bit Corp ceased operations in 1992 and UMC continued production. About 61 titles appeared, many of them Tetris and Bomberman clones.
