CP/M (1974)
Gary Kildall developed CP/M in 1974 at Digital Research for an Intel 8080 development system with a floppy drive. It became the standard OS for 8-bit business micros.
Developed in 1974 by Gary Kildall. By September 1981 Digital Research had sold more than 250,000 licenses.
