AST SixPakPlus (1983)
The best-selling multifunction card for the original IBM PC.
Introduced in late 1983, the SixPakPlus packed extra RAM, a clock, serial and parallel ports and a game port onto one slot. It let a PC fill its few slots efficiently and, by 1986, accounted for 55% of AST's sales according to Wikipedia. Its clock/calendar chip saved users retyping the date at boot.
