Sound Blaster 16
The Sound Blaster 16 was Creative's first Sound Blaster card with CD-quality 44 kHz, 16-bit digital audio sampling, released in June 1992. The first model was the CT1740, and early cards used a discrete Yamaha OPL3 chip for FM music.
