NES Classic Edition (2016)
A tiny HDMI replica of the NES with 30 built-in games. It kicked off the mini-console boom and sold out for months.
Released November 10 to 11, 2016 at $59.99, it ran an Allwinner R16 quad-core ARM chip with 256 MB RAM and output 720p over HDMI. The Japanese version was the Nintendo Classic Mini: Family Computer. Nintendo discontinued it in April 2017, relaunched it in June 2018 and ended production again in December 2018, after 3.6 million sold. Super Mario Bros., Zelda, Metroid and Castlevania were on the menu.
