Hyper Neo Geo 64 (1997)
SNK's 3D arcade board, sold only in arcades, meant to carry the Neo Geo name into the 3D era. It failed after just seven games.
Released in September 1997 with Road's Edge, it used an NEC VR4300 CPU and hefty texture memory. Samurai Shodown 64 followed in December 1997 and Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition in January 1999. Games were poorly received, and SNK abandoned the platform by 1999 to go back to the old 2D Neo Geo hardware.
