Columbia Data Products MPC 1600 (1982)
Generally recognized as the first IBM PC clone, built around a clean-room reverse-engineered BIOS.
It shipped with more RAM, slots and built-in ports than IBM's own PC, and Compaq and others followed its legal approach.
