Canon EOS D30 (2000)
Canon's first home-grown DSLR with a 3.1 MP CMOS sensor.
Announced May 17, 2000, the D30 used Canon's own CMOS sensor and accepted CompactFlash and MicroDrive cards. Before it Canon had relied on Kodak for digital SLR bodies. It gave serious amateurs an affordable interchangeable-lens digital camera that tethered over USB.
