Atari Flashback (2004)
A plug-and-play console in the shape of the Atari 7800 with 20 built-in Atari 2600 and 7800 games, which started a long running series.
Launched in November 2004 at $45 with 15 Atari 2600 and 5 Atari 7800 games. Early units used Famiclone-style hardware, causing flicker and sound issues. Flashback 2 (2005) used an actual 2600 SoC. From Flashback 3 onward, AtGames made them (Atari, Inc. made them through 2011), using emulation. The line grew to Flashback X in 2019 and Flashback 12 Gold with 130 games in 2023.
