Apple iPod classic (6th generation) (2007)
The first model to carry the 'classic' name, with an aluminum faceplate and 80 or 160 GB.
The iPod classic was introduced September 5, 2007 and renamed the hard-drive iPod once the touch and nano lines grew. It had a new interface with Cover Flow and an aluminum faceplate in silver or black. Capacity rose to 160 GB. It remained Apple's high-capacity music player until discontinuation on September 9, 2014.
